What to do on the Benasque Valley: nature in its purest form!

Benasque is a charming mountain village surrounded by the Pyrenees’ highest peaks, located under the watchful eye of Aneto Peak and between two National Parks (Ordesa and Aigüestortes) at the heart of Posets-Maladeta Natural Park. It has about 2,000 inhabitants and it is located 1,138 metres above sea level. Benasque is a genuine paradise for anyone looking for mountains and a pure connection with nature. It is a location that surrounds you with relaxation, it’s a good fit for all types of travellers, from those looking for adventure to those looking to disconnect, and for families, friends and couples. Your best accommodation option is SOMMOS Hoteles.

It’s for a good reason that the Benasque Valley is considered one of the most beautiful valleys in the Pyrenees, sprinkled with little towns full of history; you can lose yourself in their winding streets and Romanesque churches, where tradition has lived on by adapting to the present. Benasque is one of Spain’s most notable sporting destinations. For example, it features some of the country’s most highly rated Alpine and Nordic ski resorts, including Aramón Cerler and Llanos del Hospital. In other sports, Puro Pirineo MTB Centre maintains many mountain bike trails. There are also countless trails used for famous trail running races, such as the Gran Trail Aneto Posets, Trail2heaven and Great Benasque Mountain Marathon.  Other outdoor activities and sports include abseiling, paragliding, horse riding and rafting.
